Alpaca Mittens - Handcrafted Reversible

These popular alpaca mittens are amongst our favourite products we offer and our customers love them.  Crafted by hand by artisans in the high Andes of Peru, each pair is a work of art.  The ladies of the village gather fibre from their family's alpacas and then hand spin it by drop spindle.  The yarn is then knit into various items such as gloves, mittens, and hats.  Each pair is unique and one-of-a-kind.  Many have multiple colours to show off the natural colours of alpaca and offer beautiful textures too.

These particular alpaca mittens are reversible with 2 different patterns for a dual look.  The double layer of knitting also makes these alpaca mittens amongst the warmest we offer!   Very well made.  

100% Alpaca.  Made in Peru, Fair Trade.

Kids Size is approx. 7-8 years.  Older children should order Size S.

A note on colour and pattern:  Most of these mittens have one side that is patterned grey, black, and ivory with the opposite side in beige, fawn, and brown.  If you have a preferred colour scheme (fawns, browns, greys, blacks, solid colour or patterned), please email us with your wishes.  Not all colours and patterns are always available as each pair is completely unique.  Please watch your email as we always endeavor to send a photo of a selection so that you get to choose your favourite!
