Our chunky weight 1-ply Moore House Lopi alpaca yarn is made from alpaca fibre grown at our farm in the heart of the picturesque Niagara Peninsula. The fleece was first cleaned, dehaired and then spun to our own specifications at a Canadian mill. The yarn was then hand painted at our farm in a unique range of colours.
Our Moore House Lopi alpaca yarn knits up quickly and makes a super warm, thick fabric, perfect for hats, thrum mittens, and slippers. Not suitable for sweaters as it is much too heavy. Please choose our Royale or Premier alpaca yarns for scarves and shawls that will be worn next to sensitive skin.
This yarn is dyed to order. Please allow up to a week for your order to be prepared prior to shipping. Colours denoted with a "V" are variegated and may take a day or two extra to prepare.
(Note that the photos of the skeins showing the colour selections are NOT our Traditions Lopi alpaca yarn. Rest assured that you will receive your desired colour in our Moore House Traditions Lopi alpaca yarn.)
