The country road that runs by our homestead is lined on both sides by stately, century old sugar maples.  When the chilly autumn winds blow, the trees shed their bright yellow and red cloak and it is a sight to behold with the leaves falling every which way, littering the ground.  I designed these socks during this delightful time of year, knowing that my toes would appreciate the extra warmth and comfort that only alpaca can provide!
