Alpaca Paca Pac - Old Shael Lace Cowl

The basis of this delicate lace alpaca cowl is the Shetlander’s traditional Old Shale pattern which was really called Old “Shell”.  (The Shetlanders pronounce “Shell” as “Shale” – the dialect form is probably “Shael”).  The wavy lines of Old Shale mimic the pattern on a clam shell, giving a soft look to this finished piece.  “Soft” doesn’t stop at the lace pattern however, as the luxurious alpaca will snuggle your neck in softness beyond compare.  The pattern is quite simple and easy to memorize.  It is worked on large needles so works up quite quickly -a bonus if you wish to make one or two or three...

This Paca Pac (Knit Kit) comes with the knitting pattern and our Moore House alpaca yarn that you will require to make 1 Old Shael Lace Cowl (MH Royale Lace).  Knitting needles and other tools you may need are not included.
