Alpaca Hat - Hand Crafted Reversible

These heirloom quality alpaca hats are reversible so are 2 hats in 1 and are the warmest hats we offer.

Crafted by hand by artisans in the high Andes of Peru, the ladies of the village gather fibre from their family's alpacas and then hand spin it by drop spindle. The yarn is then knit into various items such as gloves, mittens, and hats. Each of these alpaca hats is unique and one-of-a-kind. Many have multiple colours to show off the natural colours of alpaca and offer beautiful textures too.

These particular alpaca hats are reversible with 2 different patterns or colour schemes for a dual look for both men and women. The double layer of knitting also makes these hats extraordinarily warm! They are offered with or without a brim or a traditional Andean chullo style with ear flaps. Exceptionally well made.

Note:  Most of these alpaca hats have one side that is patterned grey, black, and ivory with the opposite side in beige, fawn, and brown. Not all colours and patterns are always available as each hat is completely unique.
