We offer both double and single registered breeding stock as well as a small number of fibre or hobby alpacas. Fibre and Hobby Alpacas
Because we have set such a stringent standard for breeding males, not all male alpacas born at Moore House qualify for herdsire status, and are thus not registered. These non-breeding males make wonderful additions to fibre herds, small or large, where the emphasis is on fibre production rather than on breeding livestock. Even if your wish is to pursue an alpaca breeding venture in the future, purchasing a group of fibre or hobby alpacas to begin your adventure can help you get accustomed to caring for alpacas without the added concern of impending births and the extra care required for pregnant moms and new born crias.

Package 2: Dynamic Duo
These fellas are a terrific pair to get you started with your own alpaca adventures. Nicely lead trained and easily handled, Juno and Tycho are perfect for the hobby farm. Our kids even run these 2 through obstacles and jumps! An added bonus is their youthfulness which will give you years of companionship and loads of gorgeous fibre! Both of these males are of superior quality and could also be considered as breeding males.

Juno

Juno is a lovely boy who possesses extremely fine soft fibre with a silky handle. His pure white fleece just sparkles! Juno has a quiet temperament and is nicely lead trained. He gets along famously with his pen buddy, Tycho. They make an attractive pair as Tycho is black.

Tycho is a gorgeous boy and consistently garners the oohhs and aahhs from visitors to our farm. Take a look at his face and you'll know why! He is a beautiful boy with lovely dense crimpy fibre and sturdy conformation. His buddy since birth is Juno. We would love to see them sold together as a package.
Twister looks just like his award winning Dad with beautifully fine fibre to boot - just look at his histogram! He always gets oohs and aahs from visitors as he has loads of eye appeal and is quite the entertainer with his playful antics. Twister gets along well with his herdmates, especially his buddies, Kensington and Herc. He is well lead trained.

Herc is a gentle leader who tends to be the peacemaker in the crowd. One of the kids’ favourites, Herc is extremely easy to handle, well lead trained and very calm when out and about the orchards on walks. We would love to see Herc sold in a package with Kensington and Twister as they have been buddies since they were born.
Like his mom, Kensington possesses beautiful light fawn fleece with amazing coverage. Both as a cria and as a yearling, he appreciated us giving him a good trimming around his eyes months before shearing time so that he would stop bumping into things. His fleece is gorgeous – very fine, very dense, and with the high frequency crimp we love so much.
