Moore House Fine Alpacas maintains a wide selection of reasonably priced huacaya alpacas.  We offer both double and single registered breeding stock as well as a small number of fibre or hobby alpacas.  As each cria season comes to a close, we are delighted with the results of our breeding program.  We invite you to browse our alpacas for sale and contact us if any of our quality alpacas catch your eye.


Moore House Fertility Guarantee

Enjoy the assurance of our Fertility Guarantee that is included with all females sold at Moore House.  When you purchase a female alpaca from us, we will guarantee that she is capable of becoming pregnant and producing a live cria.  You can also be assured that in the unlikely event of your bred female losing a pregnancy or if the cria fails to survive birthing, we will provide you with a complimentary re-breeding of your female as soon as possible.  This "live birth" guarantee is extended to 72 hours post partum, so you can sleep more easily come birthing time.


Female Breeding Age

While many females are able to become pregnant by 12 months of age, we prefer to breed our females for the first time after they have reached an age of 24 months.  In many cases, this ensures that they have developed a strong frame on which to carry a healthy pregnancy and a mature udder for good milk supply.  They are also more likely to have reached a superior level of emotional maturity to better prepare them for the demands of motherhood over the long term.  At Moore House, we have females that have reached various stages of maturity and they are priced accordingly.  The listed prices reflect both the quality of the alpaca as well as the breeding status of the female.  Therefore, prices may change without notice.
